Nothing new

You've already done this one. Remember the Corrupted Matrimony? It's way better and darker than this one. But still this one has it's charms in being the more battle-oriented Matrimony in compare to the much more darker and slow (yet it also sounds very battle-like to me)

It has some promise

The melody starts rather orkish than elvish. Try to add some chimes in it so that it's more like magical. Elves are magical after all. That woodwind instrument (flute I suppose) fits perfectly. You just have to find something better than soundfonts (as I hear you use exactly soundfont which sounds too flat). Anyway. I won't vote yet as I expect you to alter your song for the best of it when I could vote for a full score.

Best regards.

Awesome! (as always)

You are the man! Defenitely this is one of the best rock instrumentals ever heard. Yeah! Actually I like the piano most. I think it's esential for the musical piece (either it's some sort of electrical synth or just plain piano).
The only thing you should think about is if you can sing such energetic pieces and becoming total favorite. (just thought about it right now)

MilkMan-Dan responds:

There is plain piano in there yes.... and thank you... I'm glad you think I'm "The Man"... on fridays I like to be "The Woman"... but it's a secret. so don't tell anyone.

Man it's getting late... I really shouldn't be writing replies with so little oxygen flowing to my brain.

Thanks for the review though. I'll work on my energetic singing... in the shower....

Hows that for a mental image?

Great, Amazing and F*ckin` ROCKING

Nice voice though... Anyway if you're gonna make more songs like this you'll defenetly need all the Guitar stuff. Finally after Sand Castles you rock... AGAIN! But this time it is you who play the guitar.

It is like the stories in the books

Two titans have clashed with great yet unmatched strenght. Maestro, did I heard organ and it sounded to me like leading before entering of the flute. It wasn't fair I think. As for Mandy's stuff I liked it. It was more like... enchanting :P

Good work both of you. The greatest hits are born in musical battle and it's always good to hear.

5/5 and 10/10

MaestroRage responds:

you did in fact hear an organ :D! Good ear. The organ is actually part of the free soundfont, I honestly had no idea it was there and it sounded good enough to use, so I did.

So I can put you down for Mandi's victory here?

We hope you will enjoy our future battles :D! Thank you for the review, and the support, we're glad you liked it!

Oh boy, oh boy!!!

Is it supposed to be like the great DJ battles heard in the stories except for using classical semples? (I'm fan of them though) You two... you two always find a way to amaze me (and all yourlisteners). Ok, just don't stop doing this. It inspires many (didn't I say this somewhere else? doesn't matter)

5/5 and 10/10

MaestroRage responds:

haha, you've got the right idea kutalion! Though we're not great DJ's we definitely enjoy the occasional fight with each other. It keeps us sharp, keeps us creative and lets us just compose what we feel.

We are both very happy to hear you enjoy the works, and we hope whatever inspiration we can give you helps you in your efforts :)!

Well done!!!

The way I learn piano without any guidance is not that efficient. I see you tried to sense the piano for second or third time (I don't remember well). I think it's calming again... What happens, man? Have thrown away the epic pieces? I kinda miss them :)

5/5 but 9/10 (Still you're the best)

MaestroRage responds:

I can assure you that though my studies have helped me write a more realistic piano, it has far from taught me how to play it XD. If you are learning by self teaching yourself how to play the piano you are on the better road here. Keep fighting! It will be well worth your while at the end.

The epic pieces are on their way ;D! I have not forgotten them by a long shot, patience my good sir, patience.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Can I say something?

Hey, can I say something? Doesn't matter it was a rhetoric question. This piece an amazing calm. The fact itself that you're writing it for SOMEONE should be enough. I myself am trying to make something for any of my friends (not very successfully though) but you beat me in any single point.
Keep the good work, Maestro. I'm sure you'll inspire many and many people in future as in the past.
5/5 and 10/10 (my favorite musician)

MaestroRage responds:

you can say anything you'd like, even if it's rhetorical.

Writing for somebody can be hard but there are a few things you can do to make it easier.

1. Try to write it in the style of song that person likes. If they like pop, write something pop, instrumental is easiest and often just as appreciated.
2. Try to personify the person with your instruments. Mandi here said her favorite woodwind was flute, and truth be told when I think of her I see a flute or piccolo as well. Her personality reminds me of those instruments.
3. Keep it simple. Everybody loves a super master piece in their honor sure, but often times the simplest melodies are the ones which give the strongest message.
4. If all else fails, just have fun and do what you'd normally do. The person will appreciate the attempt and truth be told a lot of my songs I made for friends in my earlier days are rather bad, but if nothing else, it was fun to make and fun to give. One time I even made a completely ridiculous song that was just stupid in every way I could think of, which became an inside joke for a long while, giving us laughs for months.

Hope that helps, and thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Finally

I lived long enough to hear it again from you - fully instrumental piece. Everything that I had to say is already said and written. I lilke your music and this one makes no difference

5/5 10/10

Daniel you're god

After "Here you lay" and quite long pause I thought this is the end (an appropriate one though) but you amazed me once more. This is a song that left me with no words. I see you used better software this time and not only your keyboard. Profecional wok though.
